Totally enjoyed the location, felt that we were part of the neighborhood. The neighborhood had a "village" feel to it. We loved the proximity of rue Mouffetard to shop for wine, cheese the latter part of the day. The fact that there was a patisserie downstairs that had wonderful croissants each morning was heavenly. Originally planning on leaving the day of the volcano, our trip was rescheduled several times. We were supposed to be staying @ Hotel de Crillon but they could not accomodate us @ the specified time due to Roland Garros& a cardiology conference. So as we hustled to find an alternate plan, Rita responded the quickest with details on availability,location, square footage, type of unit, etc. We actually contacted 6 different sources for Paris apts. so that is saying a lot!! We described what we were used to- as well as the fact that we don't travel light! There were so many things that were the same as in our Chicago condo such as the built-in Miele coffeemaker, chromatherapy lights in the oversized tub, the amazing sound system with an Ipod full of every type of music known to mankind, modern lacquered cabinets in the kitchen, & a full size walk-in closet which we almost filled completely!! Now where would you get those types of amenities in a hotel-I think not!! So much more to say but I have to get out there running before it gets too late. It was a real joy!! The greeting service was waiting in the Paris apartment to show us around when we arrived; other services have kept us waiting up to an hour on the sidewalk so this was nice after a long day of travel. We were impressed with this apartment from the moment that we arrived from the airport. Our greeter was very efficient, very nice and bilingual. She showed us not only through the apartment, but also took us for a walk through the Rue Cler market. The apartment itself was completely first-class. We were greeted with flowers, wine, and a very substantial amount of necessities and also luxuries in the refrigerator. That meant that we didn’t have to immediately go out and stock the apartment. There are many stores from which it is possible to bring home prepared meals. Throughout our stay, the staff provided us with good service. I should add here that without the help of Rita Borges at the main office in the U.S., we would never have gotten this trip off the ground. The apartment itself is large, well decorated and airy; it is the only apartment on its floor in the building. The main bathroom was very large and had ample room for drying clothes (although directly across the street, we could also use a launderette). The kitchen had up-to-date appliances, an unusually large refrigerator/freezer, a washing machine and a Nespresso coffee maker. The dining room was very pleasant and the living room was comfortable. We gave the apartment extremely high marks for comfort, cleanliness and excellent design. We thought that it was a very nice touch when the owner of the apartment phoned us before our departure to tell us everything we might want to know about the place – including where to get taxis. The apartment is located on the Rue de Grenelle just adjacent to the north corner of the Cler market. The location is a very good reason for living there. The market has bakeries, small super markets, cafes, wine and cheese stores and many other small conveniences of life. Within two or three minutes walk are some of Paris’ main avenues, containing bakeries, butcher shops and a number of good restaurants. Seven or eight of the best Paris restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot. We really loved our Chagall Paris apartment experience and would happily return." It's beautifully designed and outfitted more as a hotel than an apartment that offers only the most essential amenities. It was an absolute blast, and a big part of the reason why was Karen's apartment. "Enter the Paris apartment thru an elegant foyer, and there’s a feeling of space and I should add that its very very quiet. In the time we stayed we never encountered any outside noise; a rarity among rental apartments. A living room that’s larger than most hotel rooms you stayed in. then there’s a shower and separate bath. Both bedrooms have quality furniture, tvs plus dvds & vcrs and have the look of a top interior designer. And the kitchen is fully equipped with enough dinnerware for a small army. Why would you cook there because a five minute walk gets you to Blvd Montparnasse (a Metro stop is right there) with all kinds of places to dine from Le Coupole, Bistrot Dome, amazing fish restaurants and on the side streets a polyglot assortment of ethnic restaurants which are not only good to eat in but are gentle on your wallet. On Sundays you can wander over to the Blvd Raspail and find an organic market over a Wally Kioskini, Washington DC “Had a great time-loved the Florent Paris apartment! As I mentioned earlier the photos do not do the Paris apartment any justice. It's a cool Paris apartment and I can imagine hip people staying in it. There are art galleries galore all over the street that Joliette is located on. There are pubs and the people in the area are much hipper than alot of other places in Paris....you can just tell by the way they dress, look and the fact that there are art galleries all around and I realized what a great area the Marais is. .....I think probably my favorite area in Paris in terms of the "cool factor". The distances between the two bedrooms and baths gave both couples the space needed to feel as though each had their own apartment. All of the appliances were terrific and the provided instructions made them easy to use. All of Paris was easily accessible from it, by either foot, Metro or taxi.
