Over 40 in Paris: Nightlife for the Boomer Set

It's pretty easy to find the latest hot spot in Paris when you are 20, but things get a bit
unfocused after 40, especially if you don't want to run into Britney Spears look-alikes
even in the most spectacular city in the world, Paris..

Where should one go if you love nightlife, are over 40 and do not want to feel or look out
of place? In other words, someone who is not interested in being Lindsay Lohan's
chaperon but not ready for the retirement home? Where spend your evenings in Paris,
France.

The City of Lights shines on us all regardless of age! Check out the Ice Kube Bar
(www.kubebar.com) in the Kube Hotel near Montmartre. This is the city's first ice bar,
and is kept so cold that you are given a parka to wear. Fortunately, there is plenty of Grey
Goose vodka to keep your insides warm. I know that parkas, ice, and vodka are not
things that come to mind when thinking about Paris, but originality and flair are certainly
Parisian qualities, and this bar fits that description completely!

Another terrific mingling spot is Kong, (www.kong.com). This hot Parisian restaurant is
full of beautiful people, gourmet food, and lots of energy every night. Music varies
according to the clientele; beautiful Beatrice, Kong's DJ-in residence, plays based on
the majority vote from the guests. In addition, being able to name all four members of
the Beatles or owning a vinyl copy of "Sticky Fingers" is not a disadvantage-the music
inventory caters to aficionados across several generations.
