Jean Michel Basquiat

As a native New Yorker, who came of age in the 80s, Jean Michel Basquiat is part of the fabric of the lower East side and the tragic Warhol offspring.
I am so excited that a well deserved retrospective at the Musee d' Art Moderne de la Ville Paris from Oct 15th 2010 - Jan 20th 2011 is finally here. This exhibition will... blow you away. Don't miss it!

Paris a war zone?

Yes, Paris is on strike. Upcoming guests have called and emailed concerned whether Paris is safe to visit, should they postpone their trip? Paris is NOT a war zone, unfortunately, we live in an over exaggerated media frenzy world. Even though the demonstrations are...taking place, none of our current guests have yet to complain about the noise and the buses and trains are running normally. C’Est La Vie!

The Quartier Latin - The Intellectual Soul of Paris

With the founding of the Sorbonne almost 800 years ago, this area became known as "the Latin Quarter" for its professional language. This left bank neighborhood is where you'll find students mingling with business people as tourists browse the second-hand "bouquinistes..." or used book sellers along the quai de Montebello. It's a rarified air, and has been home to literary luminaries and intellectuals including Camus, Descartes and Sarte.

Today, the 5th arrondissement is also home to a thriving immigrant population. You'll find the main collection of shops, student bars and cafe along the rue Mouffetard. This is a great neighborhood to choose for your luxury Paris apartment, especially if you enjoy the literary life.

Catacombs are a bit creepy but it's Halloween time..

No one place has been written about, sung about, celebrated in every possible way more than Paris. Everybody knows about the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Napoleon, and the cafes of the Left Bank. What about some of the world's creepiest catacombs, stacked high with bones? Has anybody experienced them?
