Paris Luxe
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Paris Luxe a time share?
No, Paris Luxe is a New York City based
agency offering short term luxury vacation rentals in prime locations in Paris.
Guests can stay in the apartments 3 nights to 9 months.
How is this
stay different than a hotel?
Staying in an apartment is very different
than a hotel. Apartments are ideal for the independent traveler who desires space
and an authentic Parisian experience. European hotel rooms are notorious for being
compact. Take this quiz to determine what kind of vacationer
you are.
Are there any other "surprise" charges besides the fee listed
on the site?
No, our guests know all the fees before booking. We don't
like surprises nor do we want to subject our clients to any hidden charges upon
arrival in Paris. Please note the Paris Luxe Mission Statement on What We Do portion
of the website.
Is it a good idea to have four people in a one bedroom
apartment?
Even though the square footage of the apartment may justify
the space needed for four guests, it will take away from the comfort of your stay.
Paris Luxe does not recommend guests sleeping on the sofa beds, some of our owners
will charge an additional $350 per week per guest to compensate for the extra
linens and towels. Even if you have small children, please consider booking a
two bedroom apartment.
What about babies and toddlers, do you provide
cribs?
Yes, guests can rent cribs and rollaway beds. Babies and toddlers
are considered guests and if you are renting a one bedroom, your child will be
considered a third guest hence billed an additional $350 per week if this is the
policy of this specific owner.
Why should you book with Paris Luxe?
Paris Luxe has been approved by the online Better Business Bureau. The
latter has been instituted to ensure your peace of mind. Paris Luxe focuses on
quality versus quantity and caters to guests who don't want any surprises upon
arrival in Paris. The apartments showcased on the website are of excellent quality
and geared to guests seeking quality over price.
What are the terms
and conditions for booking an apartment?
Guests are asked to review and
sign an easily understandable contract. Guests are required to initial each page,
sign and submit payment terms. Paris Luxe will not confirm an apartment until
a client has reviewed the contract.
Is there a minimum required stay
for the apartments?
The stays vary between 3 days to one week minimum.
Each apartment is different. Please consult with your agent if you require a stay
less than 7 nights. Guests staying under seven nights are not entitled to complimentary
amenities and booking discount.
How fully equipped are Paris Luxe apartments?
The majority of the Paris Luxe inventory consists of luxury apartments yet all
apartments include linens, towels, hair dryer, iron, coffee maker, pot/pans and
kitchen essentials.
How do you get the keys to the apartment?
Most of the apartments are welcomed by a personal greeter who will give the keys
to you in addition to explaining how the cable, Internet, washer/dryer, etc operate.
This is why Paris Luxe requires your flight number and arrival time to await your
arrival. Your Parisian host will be waiting for you in the apartment. All guests
are provided a 24/7 mobile number to contact for emergencies.
How is the security deposit handled?
We are not in the practice of taking security deposits for our apartments. Instead, we offer a $5000 insurance policy that covers most accidental property damage within the apartment for a nominal fee of $127. Our clients appreciate the ease of this convenience, as it avoids dealing with credit card holds, cancelled checks or waiting periods.
What is the cancellation policy?
Paris Luxe encourages guests to strongly consider our travel insurance policy in the event of any emergencies that prevent you from traveling. It is important to know that without the travel insurance, booking fees will not be refunded -- even in extreme cases. We are pleased to offer a comprehensive policy that covers you in the event of extreme weather evacuations, illness, injury or other circumstances outside of your control. This policy offers you peace of mind, should your travel plans suddenly change due to these unforeseen issues.
If the cancellation occurs six months to arrival date, owner may consider refund 50% in anticipation of re-booking the apartment. This is not guaranteed and will depend on the owner.
